Accommodation Sport and Recreation Student Bodies
The College has one hostel called Bergsig, which is derived from the magnificent view of the Renosterberg mountain. The hostel was inaugurated in 1942 during the Second World War. It was intended to house 100 students only, but 110 students are currently housed. The hostel has four corridors named Witkransnek, Penny lane, Ramhokke and Bacchus. This enhances the competition and spirit between the students, especially during sporting activities. The students select a House Committee under leadership of the Head Student at the end of each year, which manages the daily tasks of the hostel in liaison with the Warden.

The College strives to develop a healthy student community life and actively promotes sport and recreation activities. Students can participate in a wide range of sport activities, e.g. rugby, golf, cricket, hunting, angling, soccer, horse riding, tennis, cycling and other.

The students association is responsible for the recreation activities at the college.
The Grootfontein Student Council consists of 6 members namely a chair person, a vice chairperson and four members of which one is chosen from the first year students. He/She will be elected during the first term of the first semester of the term of office.
The following 4 committees also exists: 1) Sport- 2)Social- 3)Cultural- and 4)House committee. The functions of these committees is to organize, rule, co-ordinate and promote the individual fields.
